I'm back from Puerto Rico

So I'm back from the land of the fly borriquas...man i miss dem borriquas...good Lord they were mucho caliente...but alas a little too young...hahaha jk
so to recap, i woke up at 6 am tuesday morning(slept 1 hour) and got my roomie to take me to the airport and then got on the plane to miami and then got on another plane to goto san juan...i hate flying...i get sick everytime b/c of the circulation of everyone's germs...i really should invest in one of those doctor masks...anyway arrived at my hotel around 2 pm...had lunch with one of my team members...and then went to my room...let's just say this hotel was on the beach...literally...being pretty high up there were lots of rocks...and the waves would crash upon them and it looked like a scene from a movie...the only thing missing was hot girls in skimpy clad bikinis walking around...hahaha jk...the water was so clear and warm...the sand soft as any sand i'd ever walked on...
and then the hotel itself...sheesh it was basically a paradise resort...my bedroom had a mini rainforest right outside the back window...it was too cool...they had peacocks, swans(white AND black), ducks, loons, lizards, and iguanas walking around in foliation of all different exotic types...my room was pretty nice...it doesn't take much to impress me though...u give me a marble bathroom with really big mirrors i'll be impressed...i had a king size bed all to myself in a huge room...but it wasn't no presidential suite...some ppl got those...but yeah i had no complaints about my room...so nice...
so tuesday i just chilled in my room and in the jungle taking lots of pictures of the wildlife and of the ocean...the breeze was sooo much better than the air conditioining...i really felt like i was in paradise...had a welcome dinner that night...the food for this trip was amazing...it was all catered and buffet style so i ate as much as i could without getting sick...whew...i can't even think of all the delicious food that they offered...and of course free alcohol...i wish i was more of a drinker so that i could've taken advantage of that...let's just say that puerto rican rum...u can't find anywhere else...mm pina coladas galore...but after dinner everyone just went to bed cuz they were all tired from the flights...
wednesday...woke up at 7 and was in meetings all day long until 6 pm...needless to say i was very tired...they had a party/dinner for us on the beach aftewards...man all i gotta say is that old people are so crazy when they get drunk...they were all dancing and doing the limbo...old white ppl...so crazy...chatted it up with a blonde next to the pond in the jungle at night...apparently everyone was at a huge party on the 20th floor or something...she didn't drink...i didn't drink...just fun talking...she was probably like late 20s or so...
thursday...had the whole day to myself...woke up late...laid out on the beach for about 3 hours...didn't tan much...spf 45 is too strong to tan for someone like me...but yeah i did get darker...no longer pale...wohooo...had a drink at the pool's bar...it was so cool to just swim right up to it and order a pina colada...afterwards i showered and took a taxi into old san juan...a very touristy place...very poor looking but at the same time historic...there was a fort there called san cristobal...very cool indeed...right next to the ocean with huge walls on top of a cliff...i almost fell...haha jk...saw a wild horse grazing with was def cool...walked about and went into a cathedral...beautiful but not as majestic as the ones in london and prague and even duke...outlet shopping was ok...only bought 2 t shirts from polo...i really could've used the coupon i had for rockport...damn it...came back afterwards and had a dinner to die for at Morton's of chicago...the best steakhouse i've ever gone to...yeah totally beat angus barn...spent 50 bucks on dinner...whew taht was some goooooooooooooood cookin...i get hungry just thinking about it...then i jus spent time walking around on the beach and reflecting before heading to bed...oh and i saw the nba draft as well...haha interesting draft...congrats to dahntay jones who is featured in my profile icon displaying his off court talents on the court...got selected by boston in the first round...
friday i woke up at 6 and came back to carolina at 330 pm...hung out with folks before bible study...haha some weird analogies of diet coke being an idol and sprite being the holy sprite telling us to obey your thirst...watched charlies angels...demi moore is freaking hot...she's def a MILF...watched animatrix after that...interesting movie...
ok so that was a "short" recap...i'll have pics of everything up as soon as i get them developed and scanned...
